Our churches
In our Benefice, there are 4 small rural churches, each with its own unique character and history. The 4 Marys churches are: St Mary's Higham, St Mary's Holton St Mary, St Mary's Raydon and St Mary's Stratford St Mary.
St Mary’s Higham is a 13th century church, located near to Higham Manor. For more information on the church and directions to it, use the following link, Higham.
St Mary’s Holton St Mary is again a 13th century church, where the chancel, the oldest surviving part of the church dates back to the 13th century. For more information on the church and directions to it, use the following link, Holton.
St Mary’s Raydon is a 14th century church although there was an earlier church, as records of a Rectory date back to the 13th century. For more information on the church and directions to it, use the following link, Raydon.
St Mary’s Stratford St Mary is the largest of the 4 churches and the oldest. The interior of the tower arch was built around 1200. For more information on the church and directions to it, use the following link, Stratford St Mary.
